Registration Type

Foreign nationals, provided that they have not studied at or graduated from secondary education (high school) institutions in Türkiye [except foreign nationals who have completed their entire high school education at embassy schools/international private education institutions registered in the MOBİS system, and foreign nationals who have come to Türkiye within the scope of projects conducted by the Ministry of National Education or the Council of Higher Education].

Persons who were Turkish citizens by birth but lost their Turkish citizenship by obtaining permission to renounce Turkish citizenship from the Ministry of Interior, and persons who certify that they hold a Blue Card issued upon request to those who have lost Turkish citizenship, provided that they have not studied at or graduated from secondary education (high school) institutions in Türkiye or the TRNC. (Candidates applying for international student admission quotas are advised to review Article 7 of Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901.)

Persons who were formerly foreign nationals and subsequently acquired citizenship of the Republic of Türkiye, including dual nationals in this category, provided that they have not studied at or graduated from secondary education (high school) institutions in Türkiye or the TRNC.

Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the TRNC, including those who completed their entire secondary education at Turkish schools established abroad under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education, except in the TRNC.

Citizens of the TRNC who have not studied at or graduated from high schools in Türkiye or high schools in the TRNC implementing the Turkish curriculum, and who possess GCE AL or TR-YÖS qualifications, or meet the criteria specified in the application and admission directives of higher education institutions approved by the Council of Higher Education.
